If anyone else has one, how about some tips or pitfalls? I've given up trying to use Cubase SX as it's too unhelpful, so I'm going to use Sonar with Toneport.

First impressions of it are excellent. I recorded a little riff, then a random solo and both sounded miles better than anything I ever did before. :)

Nice One! I know that the Guitarport was capable of Good Results and I now hear that the Toneport is better still? Could prove very interesting.

If it is possible? How about posting some examples?
Thanks
Rob :D

Is this that little unit they advertised in Guitarist. Plugs straight into your pc etc with built in effects and so on?

I know in a previous post i slated the Variax, but i would be interested in this little gizmo for home recording etc :)

Yep, the little thing, it's great. However, what I'm not so keen on is all the fiddling I've had to do with soundcard settings, and the fact you can't use your PC speakers to hear what you're doing. You need to use earphones or powered speakers from the toneport itself.
Still, I'll get used to that.
It comes with software too, so you can get pretty much any sound you like and tweak it to suit. I've been getting a lot of pops and hisses through it, but apparently messing around with settings should sort that.

I will post some examples once I get to grips with it a bit better, and can record something not too embarrassing. :D
