This is a short version of 'Tallica's "Seek and Destroy" I just recorded on Sonar, using the new Toneport GX I got yesterday.

Probably could have done with less reverb/delay but it's okay. B)

niiiiice job dude well impresed.

just a quick point, on the intro, do use play two picked notes after the chuggy bit (how technical :D ), cos if u listen to their version their is a third note hidden away, so rather than picking 8 and 7trh fret, you pick 7 and hammeer on 8 and pull off back to 7...... or did u do that  wow iv confused myself.....

but other than mild nitpicking great job

Ah, yeah I know exactly what you mean, and no I didn't play it like that with the three notes. Don't ask me why, I know how it SHOULD be played, I just never do it! :)

I like that little arrangement simply because it's very easy to play and gave a good range of notes/sounds to demonstrate the Toneport a little.
I'm going to try again today but use the RR3 this time. If it doesn't sound better than the Epi Black Beauty, I'll be selling off the DiMarzio FRED and buying a Dimebucker!

It's pretty good, but like PanteraFan said, the notes in the intro are a little wrong.

Can I ask though, how did you record it? Did you mic your amp or use a virtual amp?

No amp, just straight into the Toneport and then into the computer.

Cool. Sounds great.

Don't you just love the rhythm bit in S&D just before a solo?

Gotta find my missing cable for my guitar port soon! My g/f is getting sooooo pissed off with me *a hem* "soloing" if you could call it that!
:)
