I know this is going to sound boring.... but there is only one way.... keep practicing! And make sure you use the right fingering and it sounds clean... all the strings should ring out... even if it takes you longer to get. Good Luck! |

Why not trying some simple blues? It's both fun and good piece of practice. Have Fun ! |

gotta agree. this is what i tell my students and i know it sucks to start. i always start with E-A-D for chords to learn (this is also the chord progrssion for Led Zeppelin's communication breakdown. i also recommmend learning to make an E chord with middle, forth and pinky, later this will come in handy for barre chords. remember that it takes time and if you make it past the first few months of boring often terrible sounding playing you'll be on your way to being a guitar hero (or at least a player). its hard and takes work but believe me in the end you'll be happy you put in the time and effort. |
| and now for something completely different | |

Haha I remember the good old days, when I was in my first week of playing, I got six or seven chords down, but couldn't get that C clean at all. I bloodied my fingers tryin to get that chord perfect, and one day I just had it. Just like that. It was the happiest day of my life there and then lol. |
