hi, im new here..i own two guitars, one electric, one acoustic. heres my Q:
Well i bought a Vintage Metalaxxe warp guitar a couple years ago, and dont really play it. My mom paid £400+ for everything inclusing amp, the special padded bag etc. I want to sell it but im not sure how much its worth?

the problem with researching the price, is that nowhere on the internet can i find the model i have. Its amazing, because i can find the black, and the black and white model, just not the black and yellow, that i have. heres a link to the black and white:
http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/vw-5000s-metal-axxe-warp/68542

info on the black and yellow is impossible to find. Its in good condition..a few fine scratches, but they aren't visible much. any idea on price folks? cheers :)

Hey,

Thats a pretty kerazy looking axe you got there!! to be honest im not 100% sure but is the colour you got some sort of special or limited editon version??

And also are you sure it is yellow.... because this site here http://www.jhs.co.uk/metalaxxe.html says that the colours are black/vintage white... which looks to be slightly off white in colour so maybe thats the yellow??

like i said im not sure tho. :ermm:

can't say that i've ever heard of you're guitar not sure if we have them here in the states. have you checked e-bay? if that make of guitar doesn't have any real collector appeal then its probably not going to go for all that much used.
and now for something completely different

sorry they don't sell them in the states at least under that name. are you trying to sell the guitar? as i mentioned before unless that brand has collector appeal then i wouldn't expect your guitar to be worth any more than the regular colored ones. i see that they sell for L159 (about $320 in US money) new so you probably wouldn't get more than 90-100 pounds for it and maybe not even that. i know here in the US a used guitar like that would go for maybe $175 (at most) at a guitar store.

Im not sure to be honest but i imagine you will probably just be looking at around the same price. Have you found any where selling second hand ones in any colour just as an estimate in price? Since you cant find the yellow and black version it must either be extremely rare or just like someone else stated earlier just some kind of custom build.

watched the videos and in the one on the left the bottom white section appears yellow in that lighting. is the white on the regular ones more of a cream color? if so cream white tends to yellow with age. if yours had unstable cream paint used it could appear yellow. can't say i was to impressed wit the sound of the guitar but that may have been the amps they played thru.

im looking for around what my mom paid for it, which was around £300. the total came up to £400, but that included the custom shape bag, amp, stand, cords, picks etc. aswell. what im looking for is a price of how much the black and yellow is actually going for, second hand.

if you look on line you'll see that the guitar can be bought new for as low as L169, yours is used so there is no way you'll get L300 for it.

Ermmm, you want to sell a £150 guitar for £300? Vintage guitars are budget guitars for beginners, the used market isn't very good, which is why you can't find it anywhere second hand. You MIGHT be able to get about £70-£80 for it if it's in good condition, but it will be hard to sell. That is REGARDLESS of what colour it is, it doesn't matter if it's a rare colour, that would only matter if it were a collector guitar like Gibson/Fender.

Sorry if it's isn't what you wanted to hear, but life is unfair sometimes! You would be better off keeping it if it plays nice
