leather is good. get straplocks as they will keep the guitar more secure and stable.

I got my strap custom made from here http://www.shop.sdawholesale.com/category.sc;jsessionid=0956064249843C774DF5006F9F97035D.qscstrfrnt04?categoryId=4

Though they were over $100 when I bought mine and they had less of a range, but they are really nice straps, and I bit different too! Though they are a bit extreme!

Planet Waves suck. End of. They may have some "Half-decent" stuff, but theyr customer support is brutal. I ended up having to send back 16 faulty cables, and a faulty strap. I never got ANY of the cables back, despite Planet Waves "lifetime guarantee" crap. The strap issue cost me several hundred euro, as when the €32 strap broke, my guitar hit the dirt, smashing one of my pedals to peices, and destroying the paint on my guitar. To add more to that, Planet Waves CHARGE you for shipping faulty equipment, AND for when they return something. And on top of that, they would not admit the strap was faulty, that it had never happened in that line of strap, and didnt even bother checking the strap which I paid nearly €50 to send to them.

Those Guitar Humidifiers they sell? A load of crap. The liquid in them was too potent on mine, and ended up bloating the laminate on one of my guitars. The answer I got back from them? Nothing. Nada.

Not to mention D'addario (owned by Planet Waves) sound like my Arse hairs being stretched and plucked.

Yeah, planet wave picks are fine. Thats because theres nothing that can go faulty with them. Stay away from ANYTHING else planet waves. Seriously.

dont really know the brand name of my straps, their just good quality leather with a print on the front, nothing fancy at about $25 aussie dollars each.

I know there is a strap out there which is made to help reduce shoulder and back strain/pain but I dont know the name..

And as for returning 16 broken cables, well have you ever heard the saying "fool me once shame on you fool my twice shame on me"?

Point taken. But when Planet Waves have such a ridiculous monopoly, its next to impossible to get any alternative in local music shops.

I have 2 planet waves cables that are both over 5 years old and are good as gold :)

Moody make really nice leather straps too, but they aren't cheap.
