new pickups; changing from humbuckers to single-coils

I am currently modding a cheap old Cort Zenox guitar that I started as a little project but am now going to use as a second guitar thats a bit different to my SG Standard. As my SG has obviously got humbuckers I wanted to put single coil pups in my Cort, but it had humbuckers in it to start with. Is my only choice a P90 in a humbucker body like Seymour Duncan Phat Cats or Bare Knuckle Mississippi Queens or is there something else I've overlooked? Any info, advice or whatever would be welcome.

i guess that would depend on how much work you want to do. with a different pick guard you ay be able to mount regular single coils into the guitar with perhaps something in the cavilty to provide suppoert.
and now for something completely different

Good point. I'd never really thought about doing it that way. I'll have a think on it. Thanks!

in the end i've decided to go for GFS Mean 90's as they seem 2 be quite good and helluva cheap. and i'm not gonna paint my guitar anymore (i had been originally) i'm just gonna wax the bare wood. and put a carbon fibre pickguard on it.
