any decent distortion pedal should work. a BOSS DS-1 would probably be just fine. the wha is definitely part of the tone for Man in the Box so you can't ignore when trying to duplicate the sound. how do i set the knobs is always a popular ? with an often disappointing answer. distorion pedals interact with the tone controlls of your amp and that is a big part of the sound. you will have to experiment with the tone controls as well as the gain and distortion on both the amp and pedal. jerry also sounds like he uses a fuzztone on some songs. what kind of guitar and amp are you using? |
| and now for something completely different | |
