How do you put a strap on an acoustic guitar?

the strap has a string that ties around the headstock in most cases. some newer acoustics have standard strap buttons on both the tail and neck joint area.
and now for something completely different

you can usually get your local guitar shop to put a stud in it (the thing you connect your strap to on your electric, and you probably have one already on your acoustic) but be sure they know what they are doing ... i would deffinately want to watch to make sure you dont get the retarded drummer kid that they have on work experience who doesnt know that hes not supposed to jab the drill violently into random places on your guitar

this gives you the oppertunity to choose exactly where you want it but beware this requires drilling into your guitar which is permanent and may devalue it if it is pricey and you wish to sell it one day
