I just bought an ibanez S2170FB S Prestige Series. Just now i realised that the 9th fret wire will make a little popping sound when you press it in or play over it. Is this a problem. It dosent seem to have deadened any notes. It is around the high e and b strings that it happens on the fret. All help appreciated=] |

bad grounding would be just a guess so it may be in the electronics can't hink of any reason a fret could make a noise. |

you'd have to go to a repair person i'm in the US so can't tell you what it would cost in the UK. if the guitar is new can you take it back to the place you got it. they should either replace the guitar of fix it for free. |

Yeah I think that sounds like loose fret wire. Take it back to where you bought and they will replace the guitar or fix it for you free of charge like monwo said |
