I recently got a new guitar and need help with a problem i have found. when i play a note on any string on the 18th fret it is the same note as on the 19th. i have tried a new set of strings and changeing the height of the bridge. the bridge worked but it made the action way to high for the higher strings to be playable at a decent speed. The guitar that i bought is a spear Avant Garde. and it is a awesome guitar! any help as to what the problem is and how to fix it would be much apriciated |

how did you determine its the same note? you probably have intonation problems. a proper set up will hake care of that. |
| and now for something completely different | |

the 2 notes sound exactally the same however all the other notes sound correct and half a set difference. also when i changed the height of the bridge imanaged to play the note on the 18th fret but i had to press the strings down too hard for it to be playable |

use a tuner to determine if the notes are the same or just sound the same. i think that you have a neck issue either with the frets not being the proper height or maybe a slight bow inthe neck. get the guitar set up by a pro and that should take care of the problem. |
