Hi I'm new on here and have been playing for a few years and recently got some new gear. Ive got an American Strat, a Fender Blues junior amp and a boss me-50 effects pedal. Im looking to get a good setup. I can get an OK clean sound having the volume at around 3 and the master at full. Im sure it could be better though. Also using the distortion effects on pedal I can only really get a decent sound using the MT2 option with loads of distortion. Im after a light distortion for playing rhythm parts. Any advice would be great :)

ok i'll see if i can help. to get a light distortion you would turn your gain up all the way and then put your master on 1 or 2. from there ease back on the gain until you get the desired amount of distortion. remember that as you add more volume (master volume) you may have to change the gain setting to keep the sound the same.

your amp isn't going to get any type of metal distortion without alot of help. you can also use an overdrive instead of distortion to get a lightly distorted effect (thru clean channel)
and now for something completely different
